Have you ever been in a situation where you ask yourself, “How did you get into this kind of exclusive mess?” Or be in the company of someone who just landed themselves in a peculiar mess. It is particularly difficult if you are one of those people that take extra precaution before execution, or a good thinker – you think things through to the last detail and put every safeguard in place. The first thing that usually comes up is HOW?

How? Could be solution or review. At the point of problem, what is needed is solution. Well, It is time to train your brain for quick fix thinking. For you to become a fast problem solver, your How, What and Who will need to be working at the fore front of your thinking panel. Not only will you be capable of thinking fast, you will be able to increase brain memory capacity, You will do more for yourself and others through multitasking both simple and complex situations.

So, get your thinking cap now and your imagination for solution solving practice and be your household hero. After all, you hold the key! #YHTK

Remember!

Remember, not everyone smiling with you is delighted for you. Not everyone laughing at your jokes find you funny. Not every calling you friend is really a friend. – A friend is known in the time of adversity!

Remember, not every idea will progress into a plan. Not every plan will develop into a project. Not every project becomes a business venture. Not every business venture becomes successful. – Success is relative and determined only by the parameters chosen by you and your desires.

Remember in every relationship be it personal or business, you are the main actor. What are you hoping to achieve? pleasure or pain? gain or loss? Set your goals, maintain your focus and go be the best version of yourself on a daily basis. Be the sole determinant of your happiness. You hold the key. #YHTK

Whose race are you running?

Few years ago a friend referred an insurance agent to me to carry out a life insurance policy. As I welcomed her to my home, she asked a question totally out of context, but it indicated what was uppermost on her mind. She said “What do you think of people emigrating?” We live in Ireland, there was a time of mass entry into the country and at the time she was asking, people were indeed emigrating en masse.

I answered her that, if people were thrown into a field with different job specifications, one was to clear the ground, another to sow the seeds, another to water and another to harvest. And the person sent to harvest sees the one that cleared the ground and the other that sowed the seeds going home, will he then pack up and say it is time for him as well? She pondered for a while and said it is true.

So, even though you are on the same street and doing the same job, your visions and missions are not the same. Stop comparing. Live your life on  your own terms, according to your own vision. Be focused on your own goals and leave others to walk their journey.  Stay in your lane. #YHTK

You are Funny

If you think your current situation will change just because you strongly desire the change , then you are funny.  When you start taking action, then will you experience positive change including learning through obstacles.

If you think people will always understand that your decisions are based on your past experiences, then you are funny. People don’t spend time evaluating the basis of your why. They simply judge your action and judge you in the process.

So live your life free of their opinion and take your decisions based on your best interest. However, don’t be a jerk.

So now , stop clowning and get down to purposeful living after all you hold the key #YHTK

The small things – Getting ahead

The year is just in and days will roll over each other, then it’s December again. Don’t forget to celebrate your small wins as you daily go about achieving your dreams and visions. The small wins leads to the big victory.

No matter how small they are, they all add up. Setting deadlines, meeting goals, saving costs, saving time, innovative ideas, creative suggestions, taking notes, marking off checklist and so on. Trust me, they all add up.

Be proud to share your small wins at the end of the page and encourage someone else to be like you. Together for your success.

As the year gradually draws to a close, so does the financial year of many organisations, families and governments. Each new year comes with new plans of progress for the future. The new year is another indicator that you are getting older.

How well are you preparing for those days of inactive service.  What you will eat, who you will visit, who will visit you, where you will go, what will entertain you etc.

Growing old requires early days commitment. Factor your financial, emotional, social, spiritual and physical activities into your new year plan.  Do one thing today to make your tomorrow a better one.

Turn it around

Few years  ago working in a customer service office, my team leader trying to motivate his team used to say to us “Turn it around”. When a customer calls to complain, position yourself to turn the situation around so they go away with a happy story and a positive feedback for you and the company.

How then are we turning our personal weaknesses to strengths? Weaknesses are to be appreciated because they are indicators of where you can be a better version of you.  Weaknesses are only bad when nothing is done about them.

Below are some personality weaknesses, find yours and be a better you. After all #YHTK
