I am a young woman who is passionate about making a difference in the world. Sometimes it seems like a huge project but I am not daunted considering how large the world itself is. I start with my immediate environment and try and touch one life at a time positively, a word of encouragement, advise, an exchange of idea or information, a helping hand. One person at a time, one day at a time - little drops of water make a mighty ocean and I, refuse to be extinct before my time.

You are Funny

If you think your current situation will change just because you strongly desire the change , then you are funny.  When you start taking action, then will you experience positive change including learning through obstacles.

If you think people will always understand that your decisions are based on your past experiences, then you are funny. People don’t spend time evaluating the basis of your why. They simply judge your action and judge you in the process.

So live your life free of their opinion and take your decisions based on your best interest. However, don’t be a jerk.

So now , stop clowning and get down to purposeful living after all you hold the key #YHTK

The small things – Getting ahead

The year is just in and days will roll over each other, then it’s December again. Don’t forget to celebrate your small wins as you daily go about achieving your dreams and visions. The small wins leads to the big victory.

No matter how small they are, they all add up. Setting deadlines, meeting goals, saving costs, saving time, innovative ideas, creative suggestions, taking notes, marking off checklist and so on. Trust me, they all add up.

Be proud to share your small wins at the end of the page and encourage someone else to be like you. Together for your success.

Your Pre- retirement Plan

As the year gradually draws to a close, so does the financial year of many organisations, families and governments. Each new year comes with new plans of progress for the future. The new year is another indicator that you are getting older.

How well are you preparing for those days of inactive service.  What you will eat, who you will visit, who will visit you, where you will go, what will entertain you etc.

Growing old requires early days commitment. Factor your financial, emotional, social, spiritual and physical activities into your new year plan.  Do one thing today to make your tomorrow a better one.

Turn it around

Few years  ago working in a customer service office, my team leader trying to motivate his team used to say to us “Turn it around”. When a customer calls to complain, position yourself to turn the situation around so they go away with a happy story and a positive feedback for you and the company.

How then are we turning our personal weaknesses to strengths? Weaknesses are to be appreciated because they are indicators of where you can be a better version of you.  Weaknesses are only bad when nothing is done about them.

Below are some personality weaknesses, find yours and be a better you. After all #YHTK

  • Impulsive
  • Shy
  • Passive
  • Unorganised
  • Closemindedness
  • Bossy
  • Timid
  • Fearful
  • Disruptive
  • Shortsightedness
  • Perfectionist
  • Stubborn
  • Zoning out to cuckoo land
  • Trouble maker

How many windows do you have opened?

Life truly is full of ups and downs. No one stays on a permanent roll of ups and ups. No matter how positive and optimistic you are, you will have your moments of doubts and reflection even if they are iota doses.

I experienced an absolute melt down last week and thankfully was able to find out it was pure hormonal.  Many times though, mental chaos and melt down comes as a result of processing too many things in the head or in your mind, all at the same time.  Just like opening too many windows on the computer, first it slows down and then it crashes if you don’t proceed to shut some inactive windows down.

Watch out this week for the open windows and remember to shut them as you go before your system crashes.  Listen and obey the body. It’s another winning week.

It is highly contagious!

What?

Fear.

It is contagious. You can catch it very easily by listening to all the reasons why you should not follow your dreams.  They mean well by telling you all the cons. Don’t despise the advise coming from your loved ones.  They are looking at the pitfalls, while you should be focused on your goals by building on the pros.

The more you listen to them, the tighter the grip on your thoughts, your plans; and the deeper the roots of fear, procrastination and eventually paralysis will stop you from moving on.

Stay focused on your goal. Don’t catch the fear virus and don’t spread fearvitis.

You, hold the key!  #YHTK

You are Entitled

Don’t wait for anybody to bring it to you because you may wait forever. Time spent with family, friends, work colleagues and loved ones build memories of a life time. Memories of happy, sad and eventful times.  However, the decision to be happy in life in spite of every storm you go through is a choice decision.

You may not know where the next meal is coming from but you can still choose to be happy. You may not know how to pay the piling bills and still choose to be happy.  Difficult times don’t last, even when they appear bleak sometimes.  They eventually pass.

To be happy is not for the rich or the poor. It is a choice thing and everyone is entitled to it. Don’t expect it from anybody.  It is your right with your name on it.

Only you hold the key #YHTK
